JCMM
 

JCMM focuses on supporting talented students and human resources for science with activities in the South Moravian Region. It is a specialized interest association of a not-for profit type. Our goal is to effectively support the influx of students and researchers into the Region and create conditions for the development of gifted students in the South Moravian Region.
We also provide the public with career development services.
 

We provide support and operate in the following areas:

• Support of talented students from high school to Ph.D. study in the South Moravian Region
• Support of  teachers at secondary schools in working with gifted students in the South Moravian Region
• Creating conditions for the influx of gifted students from abroad
• Support of  the influx of top scientists into the South Moravian Region
• Support of technical education in kindergartens and primary schools in the South Moravian Region
• Career development
• Methodical support of teachers
  
   

JCMM PROGRAMMES

For kindergarten and elementary school teachers

• We support technical education in kindergartens and primary schools in the South Moravian Region.
• Education of primary school teachers in the area of career counselling of pupils.

 

For high school students

• We provide talented students with a financial contribution to personal development.
• We connect talented students with researchers – e.g. internships at research institutions, processing the first scientific research projects (SOČ), lectures, seminars etc.
• We organize other extracurricular educational activities for students such as interdisciplinary competitions, etc.
   

For high school teachers

• We work closely with teachers at high schools in the South Moravian Region - exchanging information about activities for gifted students, searching for gifted and others.
• Professional development of teachers  to increase pupils' mathematical literacy.
• Support for school leaders in group and individual form, development of pedagogical teams.
• Education of teachers in the topics of career counselling of students.

For undergraduates and PhD students

• We provide a financial contribution to career development for undergraduate students.
• We offer talented Ph.D. students a 3-year scholarship so that they can devote themselves fully to science.
   

For foreign students

• We provide one-year start-up scholarships for foreigners from third countries to study at partner universities in the South Moravian Region who have never studied in the Czech Republic.
• We provide administrative support to students, i.e. assistance with the admission procedure, diploma nostrification, visa procedure, and more.
• We help students prepare for studies in the Czech language through lectureships in Russia.
   

For scientists

• The SoMoPro mobility programme offers 1-3-year grants to finance the stay of foreign researchers in the region and the reintegration of Czech researchers from abroad.
• Within the pan-European EURAXESS network, the JCMM provides assistance not only to researchers but also to their families with the preparation and organization of their trip to a foreign country and provides comprehensive advice on their mobility issues.
  All services offered by the EURAXESS network are free of charge.

For public

• We support the professional development of individuals in the form of career counselling.
• We bring a structured portal with a varied offer of courses and further education in the South Moravian Region.
