Support for the education of gifted students in the South Moravian Region

The project "Support of the Education of Gifted Pupils in the South Moravian Region" is implemented by the Operational Programme Research, Development and Education with the financial support of the European Union and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The activities are implemented by the South Moravian Region in the cooperation with the JCMM, as a partner that fulfils activities in support of the education of gifted pupils. Implementation of the project is scheduled between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2023.

Individual activities aim not only at gifted students, but also at teachers or parents, who play a key role in the development of giftedness. Emphasis is placed on creating a system that allows gifted students to be identified, supports them in terms of developing their talents, and also provides support to teachers in their education at primary and secondary schools in the region.

Six key activities we will work on:

1/ Counselling centre for gifted students, parents, and teachers

2/ Network of methodologists for the development of gifted care

3/ Education of pedagogical staff

4/ Activities to support the development of talent in students

5/ Pre-screening of giftedness rates in the 4th grade of elementary school students

6/ Foreign experts
